Weekend and a Run

Sweets,

The original title of this post was Happy Monday....but I couldn't quite make myself believe it. So instead, you get Weekend and a Run. Friday ended with a work induced breakdown...at the mall. Yep, it was super classy and fun for HM. At least these sort of things only happen once or twice a decade. Things took a turn for the better on Saturday. Liz arrived at my house at 7:25am sharp for our 8 mile run. Tired? A little. Good run? Yes.

Still sleeping at the 3  mile mark
I was feeling really good. There was one BIG hill that we had to climb. It was about half a mile long. Liz was not super stoked to be confronted with such a rude hill that early in the morning.

"Emily, that hill is soooo rude."
It was the most difficult half mile of the entire run, but we got it done. We took a break at the 3 mile mark to catch our breath and enjoy the view of victory.

Beyond the tail lights....about 10 blocks of incline
It was gloomy out, but it was warm. We checked at the half way point and it was 60 degrees. Liz and I both over dressed and had to tie yards of fabric around our waists. It might have been the luck of the Irish or the weather, but this run felt great.

Luck of the Irish?
Or the weather?
Towards the end of our run, we came across this shocking site...

Do you see anything interesting? What about the guy in his underwear standing in the window? Calm down, it is not that kind of blog. It is just a mannequin. It sure gave us a start though! The rest of the weekend looked a lot like this...

Yep. Painting.....and more painting. Both my parents and HM's mother will be visiting in the next month so we have decided to finally decorate the basement. I will share more details when it is all finished.....because you know, working out and decorating go hand and hand.

Tell me Sweets:

What did you do this weekend?
Paint, move furniture, and hang pictures.

Painting, love it or hate it?
Sort of hate it, but I love the results!

Was your run this weekend a good one or a bad one?
Good!!
