We made it back from Moab everybody and boy did I miss you all sweets! HM, Buckley and I had a great little getaway in Southern Utah. We took off Friday as soon as I got off work. The drive is a 4 hour and 15 minute drive from our driveway, but we did get stuck in traffic. We arrived in Moab about 10pm and settled into our hotel. We woke up the next morning and headed to Arches National Park. From the moment we passed the entrance gate, the scenery was amazing!

"If you feel your skin start to tingle and your hair stands on end (a sign that a charge is building) crouch down with both feet together and plant feet on the ground."
Um, scary but unlikely. It was a clear sunny day. We set out on the trail. Most of it was a marked and well maintained trail.
There was one section of the trail that was a slick rock section. It was a bit steep and it looked like (it has been a long time since I have been in a biology/geology class so don't quote me) an old lava field that has been hardened. We took a break halfway up the slick rock section in order to take some dramatic "Good Bye Cruel World" photos.
|This is what HM does when I say "pretend you are jumping off the cliff".|
We finally made it to our destination, Delicate Arch, when the sun was getting low. It made everything really red/orange and pretty.
It was pretty dang cool. Even better in person than I thought it would be! I am so glad we hiked to it. The hike was not that strenuous, but HM claims to be marginally scared of heights. Ugh huh. Get over it and pretend to jump off the cliff!!! I NEED TO GET SOME GOOD PHOTOS!!!
Okay Sweets, I will be back tomorrow with a little more details of my trip, specifically the work out I put HM though before I made him hike through the park. Muughhh hahahhahaha.
