I used to do Weight Watchers years ago and there are a few parts of the program have always stuck with me. One of those things was how you reward yourself. When you are trying to manage your weight, it becomes a problem when you reward successes with food. It is really the same as comforting one's self with food. Well I felt that I was due for a reward at the end of my week. I worked hard, things got stressful as I prepared for an upcoming business trip, and plus I loused some L Bs!!!
Ahhh yeah! Finally! I am down 5lbs and I know I have gained muscle. Things are defiantly looking up because a stranger told me today that I look like a brunette Cameron Diaz. I have not heard that in AGES. It felt good, I'm not going to lie.
Okay, but back to non-food based rewards.....I decided that I deserved a night out on the town with HM. We started off the evening with dinner at one of my old favorite restaurants, Tin Angel. We decided to split a Gorgonzola gnocchi and then each order our choice of tapas.

Right you are Sweets, right you are. This was a very healthy choice and well within my calorie budget. This was just diner. The reward came afterwards. HM and I had tickets to the Symphony. Can I get an Unst Unst Unst?
It was Bravo Broadway, a salute to old school Broadways tunes. Think Gene Kelly and Ginger Rodgers. Think Singing In The Rain and Who Could Ask For Anything More. It was absolutely wonderful. It was a perfect way to start my weekend wind down and reward myself for a week well done.
