An On-The-Go Breakfast

Oh Sa-weets,

How did everybody fare with all that Halloween candy lying around? I think I did pretty well. Being that I have less than 6 weeks from the Dominican Republic, I am on a slim down routine. I didn't want to be tempted by all the sugar around me so I planned ahead. Something naturally sweet needed to be in my future.

Big Announcement: I am no longer the only blogger alive who has not tried overnight oats!


That's right sweets. I finally made those dang things. Have to say- they were great!!!! As the name implies, I made them the night before in Tupperware. Popped the lid on them and stuck them in the fridge overnight. The next morning I woke up, popped the top off, and enjoyed a really unique breakfast.

Interested? Here is what I did, but there are endless possibilities.....

1/3 cup of oats (regular NOT quick cook)
1/3 cup of vanilla Greek yogurt
1/3 cup of unsweetened almond milk
frozen blueberries
dash of Cinnamon

This was the night before.....
Then the next morning, everything had soaked in and I sliced a banana on top and enjoyed. I ate at home before work, but can you imagine how convenient this would be for a breakfast on the go?!?!?

Anyways, it was sweets and yummy and got me through the candy traps at work. Oh, and my work closed down early, every square inch was decorated, and peeps brought their kids through to trick or treat. I had no idea how seriously this company celebrates Halloween!! And yes, I was "that" lady:

Ba hum bug..... I didn't even dress up. I have learned my lesson for next year. Halloween = Big Deal at Office. Noted!
