This Should Be Illegal

Wow sweets,

I just made a smoothie that should be illegal. How do they say it in the blogger world? It was amazeballs? Anyways, give it a try:

In a blender add:
1 GENEROUS Scoop of protein powder (check Food Love for the kind I use)
1 spoon scoop of Nutella (real precise this recipe)
1 banana
1 clump of frozen dark cherries (measure that carefully now :-)
3/4 cup cold water
1/4 cup crushed ice

Blend the crap out of it. Pour in cup and enjoy!

I am just breaking into the smoothie world, so I wanted to share my first original, not stolen from a more popular blog, recipe. I hope you like it!


In other news, HM and I will be completing our relatively short speed workout at the gym. Hello temperature control, I love thee. We will be doing:

1 mile warm-up jog
0.5 mile speed interval
.25 mile recovery jog
-Repeat this 4 times-
1 mile cool down jog

We are then going to pretend that we are REAL athletes and complete a few striders in the park (unless it is hot and I am tired, then we will just go to lunch-TBD)

Do you sweets do speed intervals and/or striders?

Any one out there want to share a secret smoothie ingredient? We can keep it a secret can't we sweets?

  1. My favorite smoothie (or shake) would be 1 or 1 1/2 frozen bananas, a scoop of peanut butter, a handful of spinach, and fill-er up with chocolate soy milk (I'm sure almond milk would be better but my husband is allergic). Blend. Enjoy. You would never know it wasn't ice cream. Yum.
