Yet here is a crazy fact about me- I have never had a glass of milk. Seriously. Just the thought of it gives me the dizzies. As a baby I was colic and fussy. As a child, I was an excellent liar ("Sorry Girl Scout Leader, I'm allergic.") As an adult, I over think it and the thought of drinking liquid squeezed from a bovine makes me nauseous........
What was that?
Why yes, I do eat cheese, ice cream, and beef -thanks for asking.
I do not in any way think that my disgust of milk is rational. I just plain don't like it so I have experimented with milk alternatives, soy, rice, etc and have settled on:

Currently my favorite way to use almond milk is by making the Cake Batter Green Smoothie featured on the blog Peas and Thank You.
Ingredients (1 large smoothie)
- 2 c. spinach
- 1 c. non-dairy or organic milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/4 c. old-fashioned oats
- 1 t. sunflower seed butter
- 1/2 c. silken tofu OR frozen almond milk cubes or organic cottage cheese
- 1/2 t. vanilla
- 1/2 t. xanthan gum (optional)
- 1/2 t. guar gum (optional)
- 8-9 ice cubes
- stevia to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
When I first made this HM was less than excited (to understate it) to try the smoothie, however he took one sip and exclaimed "THIS IS GREAT" so good in fact that he asked for another one the following day and then later claimed that the smoothie alone was responsible for his excellent workout at the gym and how he was able to dead lift more than........this was the point I dozed off a bit.......
